Vertimyst
Hi, I understand that there's no support for the Intel 3945 yet. I've downloaded the driver from here: http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/, but no new device showed up (only networking device that shows in OSX's control panel is Firewire, no idea why), and running NetworkSelector, I just get this (as everyone else seems to be, but I can't find a solution): Could not get ID for kernel control. 2 logout completed So, is there any way at all I can get internet access? Or am I completely out of luck? Here's my hardware: OSes: Windows XP and Windows 7 on internal drive, Kalyway OSX 10.5.2 on external Model: TOSHIBA Satellite Pro P100 PSPA1C-TM30XE Processor: Intel Core Duo T2300E 1.66GHz, SSE3 Mainboard: TOSHIBA Satellite Pro P100, Chipset: Intel i945GM Memory: Samsung DDR2 512 MB Audio: Conexant High Definition Audio Graphics processor: Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family Wireless:Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection Ethernet: Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection I've read that my Ethernet should work, but I don't have access to an Ethernet port, as my network is all wireless. The driver you have is known to not work, you need to wait until Mercurysquad finish his work (there is a thread here) or buy an wifi ethernet->usb stick. 3th solution is to change your lan card with one known to work, like the bcm4311 based, they are cheap and easy to exchange in the laptop without affect warranty. Vertimyst
Thanks, Getting a new wireless card or USB receiver isn't really an option for me, but I do have an old ACPI card from an old laptop lying around somewhere. I'll post back here if/when I find it, and report on how it works. It looks like it might, from the Hardware Compatibility List.
