Odinist
First off, here's my system specs: eVGA 790i Ultra mobo Intel Q9450 @ 3.6 Corsair XMS DDR3 1600 eVGA 8800GT 512 Anyway, I got 10.5.5 installed last night, couldn't get the ethernet to work, so I gave up until this morning. I got the ethernet up and running, and was ready to start using the OS today. But, I went to change the resolution from whatever it was set at (it was something odd, can't remember exactly) to 1600x1200, which is what I run in Windows (Vista and Win7). When it changed, I ended up with a blank blue screen.[ If I hit the power button briefly on my system, I'll see the desktop again for a short period, before the monitor goes off (I'm assuming sleep mode?). But then, I can't get the system to come back without a hard reboot, and when 10.5.5 loads, I get the same blank blue screen again. Any ideas? Odinist
I seem to have fixed it, in case anyone's interested... I installed the latest Voodoo kernel while in safe mode. I rebooted, and had a blue screen again. I hit my power button, saw the desktop as the system went to sleep. I hit the button again to bring it back, and this time bringing it back from sleep worked, and I had a viewable desktop, at 1600x1200. w00t.
