Hello, i just installed Leopard today. (Jas OS X 10.5.4 i think). Well, here is the problem: i used EasyBCD to add the entry to the bootloader and it worked fine. But now when i'm actually trying to access the OS itself, it's not gonna work. It tells me "Disk read error occured. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to restart". It doesn't have anything to do with the HDD, it's 2 days old. I would like to try out OS X but this error won't let me boot into OS X. Does anyone else had this problem?

I haven't tried multi-booting yet, but will do so in the very near future (XP/Vista/7 Beta/OS X), possibly tonight if I finish downloading and burning all the install discs. I'm afraid I haven't encountered that problem yet. When I do get started on it, I'll post some results/impressions.

As for the HDD being 2 days old, problems with HDD's usually occur in the first few months (infant mortality and all that). Just because your HDD is new doesn't mean it can't have any problems.

The board has a subforum dedicated for multi-booting so you might get more answers there.

Well, my other OS-s and everything are fine. There is a problem within the bootloader. And yes, my quad booting has the following entries atm:

XP

Win7

Vista

OS X.

I didn't find a way around it, neither the chain0 option worked. I think i'm gonna format the partition and mount it on my main OS.

But maybe i need to install it to a FAT partition, so i can actually see the partition and then it knows where to boot from.
