Riley Freeman
Hi all As the title says, I'm running into some problems here with an external FW HD and Truecrypt. The drive contains one partition, which is encrypted with Truecrypt and formatted NTFS (using Truecrypt 6.1a on Windows). The problem is that when I try to mount this drive on my iBook (10.4.11 with latest NTFS-3G) I get the error "hdiutil: attach failed - no mountable file systems". It mounts OK with FAT32 but I would prefer NTFS (HFS is out as I want PC compatibility without having to use Macdrive). Does anyone know of any workarounds or solutions? I've read the OS X section on the Truecrypt forum and one guy said it worked for him using 6.1. But I've tried 6.0a, 6.1 and 6.1a and all give the same error. I don't have any non-free email addresses so I can't post there. Maybe someone has any ideas? opfobo
Use either NTFS-3G or Paragon NTFS for Mac. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/149298-truecrypt-wont-mount-ntfs-partition/#findComment-1186361 Share on other sites
