I have an Airlink AWLH6070 Wireless Draft N PCI adapter, and since I read that they use the Ralink chipset, I downloaded the driver for the RT2860, which is the only driver that I can see is Draft N and PCI: http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Macintosh.html

But then after I install it, the network in system preferences apparently thinks I have an ethernet connection, when clearly i dont, and airport says "the cable for airport is disconnected". The utility thing that comes w/ the ralink driver is pretty much useless, it connects, but the system doesn't.

Is there any driver for my wireless card? Which ralink chipset does it use??

Here are my system specs:

Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 @ 3.40 GHz

Corsair Dominator 2GB 1066MHz RAM

nVidia 8800GTS 512MB

Airlink AWLH6070 Wireless N Adapter

Never mind!

I got it to work with this driver from ralink. Looks like the link I posted up there was the right way to go but for some reason it just didn't work the first time.

For anyone else w/ the same wireless card and problem, just click on this link here, and install the driver. Works like a charm for me.

EDIT: Can somebody tell me of a wireless card that'll run natively in airport? With mine I always have to use the ralink connection utility and it doesn't automatically connect at startup. I am running iATKOS 5i 10.5.5, so I'll need something compatible with 10.5.5.

Thanks for doing the legwork. :o

I downloaded the STA_RT2860 D-1.1.2.0 UI-1.6.9.0_2009_01_09.dmg file from your link and installed it. Rebooted the computer and the network connection using the AirLink AWKH6070 is functional.

On startup the Ralink utility pops up and I also need to 'Connect' before the connection is active. Going to work on it to see if I can get it to be automatic.
