coconup
hi all, I'd just like to ask if somebody who has coding skills could take a look at one of the best features of macbooks, which is two finger scrolling. the only solution we have now is the one in the genius bar, which is pretty old and buggy, and after one month or so I came up replacing the original kexts and scrolling manually. So, linux users have a great driver for synaptics trackpads that allows a LOT of gestures, including 2 finger scrolling, pitching and even 3 finger something. The hardware can do it. Even porting the original FFScroll app to intel architecture would be great (since it is a ppc app), and I attach the source just in case. The only two files that are not intel-compatible are FFScroll (driver folder) and the prefpane, here it is: FFScroll.tar.gz Also, here we have a guy working on enabling multitouch gestures on 'older' macbooks, could it work also with ps2 trackpads? coconup
bump! I don't think I'm the only one who needs this feature, so guys please support. If anyone has the sources of the driver we have now (the one in the genius bar), which is pretty unusable, post them so I can have a look and manage to try to do something Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/149280-2-finger-scrolling-could-any-developer-do-something-about-it/#findComment-1060965 Share on other sites
