boosted23
Its well over 1 min and the only thing I have running at start up is the Wireless Utility for my WLAN. The program isn't the problem though. I have 10.5.6 and this is on my MSI Wind. When booting up the process seems to hang right after I log in at the OSX login screen. It takes a good while to load the desktop. Sometimes it will load really fast after login (once in awhile) but most of the time its really slow. Any ideas what could be the problem? Also how do you boot into -v flag to check what may be causing these problems? Not familiar with OSX enough to know how to do that. Thanks in advance for any help. mmxsaro
To boot using the -v flag, press the F8 key repeatedly when you see "Loading Darwin..." as fast as you can. You will then be presented with the boot: prompt. Remember, you must be quick!
