Has anyone with this specific setup been successful in retaining and maintaining full functionality.

ABIT IN9 32X-MAX LGA 775 Nvidia nForce 680i SLI / NF590 SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

XFX PVT80GTHD4 GeForce 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported

Primarily, I am concerned for the motherboard. Since this community is relatively small compared to the Linux community, I was unsuccessful in finding information regarding this board and more specifically the specs.

I am currently running iDeban v1.3 Leopard v10.5.5. It works great :dev:. I have it installed on the MBR of my main drive. Currently, I have been successful with the graphic card (using the included NVinject driver included with the distro) ;). I also have been successful with sata and drive recognition :). I am currently stuck on audio and LAN. This particular board is 7.1 HD audio. I have currently been unsuccessful in getting any known driver to work with this board regarding the audio. Also, using the forcedeth nforce LAN driver included with the distro, I have been unsuccessful with getting any sort of connection. Although, the dual gigabit ports are recognized I get the classic error "Please make sure that your ethernet cable is plugged in properly" :).

I am unsure where to go next...

I have only tried a few kernals on recommendation only. I, personally, do not believe this to be the problem, because none of these proposed solutions have worked with any kernal I have tried. Although I cannot be sure, because I am a professed NOOB with this type of setup.

I am seeking advice from anyone willing to give it.

Even better if you have had experience with this style of setup of board in the past.

Thank you in advance :).
