williarrrmo
OK, i want to start off by saying... i have searched many threads and spent hours researching how to get this working, but all the threads seem to get overloaded with people saying "me too" and adding a few more issue to the thread.......... for all you peeps out there having the same issue, there is no need to add this, just monitor this thread and hopefully one of the guru's will be able to help. Anyway, to get into the issue, i managed to acquire a copy of 'iPC_OSx86_Leopard_10_5_6_Intel_AMD_SSE2_SSE3' and unpacked it using WinRAR... i have read the readme regarding Extensions.mkext and that hasn't helped. I basically mount the iso using a virtual dvd drive and create a virtual pc... have tried both WindowsNT4 and FreeBSD32, but get the same error using both. I have a Dell PC, a Core Duo 2. What happens is everytime i boot (using -f or -v) the grey apple screen comes up followed shortly by VMWare rebooting itself.... and this is the entry in my log files: Jan 24 16:37:34.409: mks| VNCENCODE 3 encoding mode change: (720x400x24depth,32bpp,2880bytes/line) Jan 24 16:37:39.893: mks| VNCENCODE 3 encoding mode change: (1024x768x24depth,32bpp,4096bytes/line) Jan 24 16:37:40.112: vcpu-0| Triple fault. On a real computer, this would amount to a reset of the processor. It can be caused by an incorrect configuration of the virtual machine, a bug in the operating system, or a problem in the VMware Server software. Press OK to reboot virtual machine or Cancel to shut it down. Jan 24 16:37:40.112: vcpu-0| --------------------------------------- Jan 24 16:37:40.143: vcpu-0| CPU reset: hard does this mean anything?? what steps should i take next to debug this? i'm very committed to this cause, and from what i can see many are having the same issues as myself so i am happy to spend long hours figuring this out for the greater good. please help me out cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148860-installing-ipc_osx86_leopard_10_5_6_intel_amd_sse2_sse3-on-vmware-server-2/ Share on other sites
