Hi everyone,

the specs of my computer is below, and I currently have 2 500Gb hdds (very similar in performance). with one running Boot-132 retail 10.5.6 and the other running Jas 10.5.5

For one reason or another (don't ask), i trashed the bootloader of the retail install, so I plugged in my Jas (thank god for hot-swap trays) and reinstalled EFI-v9 on the Boot-132 install.

Anyways my problem is this. I've been noticing for a while now that the boot-132 install seems slower. its a little more sluggish, takes longer to boot, HDD "thrashes" more. and it just seems like the JaS install is quicker.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? (oh and both running Vanilla kernel)

Though all my hardware seem to be working fine, are there other kexts that i am missing that is dramatically slowing my system down? (again, comparing Retail vs JaS)

Any opinions are greatly appreciated
