It should be quite easy on your system, first thing you need is to get a copy of osx and decided if your going to use an osx86 pre-made distro or install from retail.

A lot of P5 series of ASUS boards and the 85/86/88 nVidia cards have been very OSx86-friendly. At the very least, they won't throw a tantrum at you every 5 seconds unless you really mess up the installation.

Your machine is ready for a retail/vanilla install method and some post-install tinkering.

The 2 links below show the 2 best guides I've read on these forums.

 Leopard (Retail) DVD Perfect Guide 10.5.6 Chameleon EFI• ➽ Dec 22 Kexts Pack for 10.5.6,  Native RAID Guide

Retail DVD Guide, 10.5.6, PC-EFIv9 installer, EFI studio, Vanilla or Voodoo, GA-P35-DS3P (L,R), DS4, or OS X Compatible board, Dec 24rd v4.4 Guide w/ PC-EFIv9 installer, updated script

If you want to experiment beforehand, just to make sure, try the Kalyway 10.5.2 and/or iDeneb 10.5.5 ISO builds. You should be able update to 10.5.6 as well, except you'll need to apply the kext packs from either of the guides mentioned above. I've used both custom ISO's, and was very pleased with the results until I eventually bought Leopard and followed the installation methods for a retail DVD.'

Have fun! ;-)

ADDENDUM!

• enable AHCI under BIOS

• it's recommended to have a SATA optical drive, rather than IDE

• other bios settings may have to be toggled. feel free to check my installation notes (in sig below) or check the forums for more indepth BIOS guides.
