rjones02
Hello everybody - After lots of trial and error, i've figured out a consistent way to get my OSX86 installed on my machine. Got LAN/Audio working, but need help on what to do to get the best install for my video card. Here's the situation - I'm about to do a fresh install of iAtkos 5i. I will have the ability to immediately update to 10.5.6 if need be. My LAN will be working. I do get the mouse lag problem that others have described when itunes and qt are updated, but that is another issue. 1) What driver should i choose for my card for the install? 2) and what should i do after first boot to get my card working as best as possible? When i use the NVKush driver on included with the install disc, i get 1680x1050 and can switch resolutions. QE is supported. My card has 768MB of RAM, but only 256 show up in system profiler. I've looked at these forums so much and seen so many different ideas on how to get cards working to their full potential, my head spinning and i don't even know where to start. Very new to OSX86, so if you answer, please be as basic as possible. Basically spent the last 5 days reading/learning and installing. Video card is the xfx nvidia 9600 GSO 768MB RAM Vanilla Kernel P5QC motherboard Q6600 processor Also, is there any modification i need to do after install to get the processor fully functional? thanks- Bobby Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148647-fresh-install-what-driver-should-i-select/ Share on other sites
