jarl1302
I am hoping someone can help me out with some suggestions on what to do next, I am trying to get Leopard installed here are the details: Hardware Motherboard: ASUS P5K-E/Wifi Processor: Intel Cor 2 duo E8500 3.16GHz, SS2, SS3 Memory: 4GB Video card: XFX GEForce 8600GT 512MB I have a 200GB SATA hard drive just for OSX First installation was on Kalyway 10.5.2, found a guide in the forums and setted the Bios per the guide, OSX installs with no problems using the recommended settings (Vanilla Kernel, Nvinject, Marvell Lan); when rebooting I will get the grey screen with the apple logo and then it goes black, hard drive activity stops and it freezes. Tried "cores=1" option, -x and -v, same results the three times, did not get eny errors in -v. Second installation I did not select any options, the machine froze up on the grey screen with the apple logo. Tried "cores=1" option, -x and -v, same results the three times, did not get eny errors in -v. Fourth installation I used the speedstep kernel (although speedstep was disabled in the BIOS), same results, tried the same boot options. For the fifth installation I found an Ideneb guide, and repeated the process above (installed it 4 times). I am getting a Leo4all dvd, but I am afraid that I will have the same issue. I have burned the DVDs in DVD-R, at 2x speed, the installation has verified the disk with no errors. I would appreciate if anyone has some pointers, I am almost out of ideas, have searched the forums since 12/29 when I began trying... no success so far. Thanks!
