ssuper2k
Hi, I have a Laptop XPS 1530 (T9300, 4GB, NV8600, etc) I installed Leopard (10.53, I think) and It works perfectly, only had to install graphics and audio driver apart(I don't mind about fingerprint and webcam) The thing is that I can't get any network interface to work -Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, NOT working -Marvell Yukon 88E8040 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller, not working I'm thinking of buying a new card, I do trial-boot with Vista32/Ubuntu32/MacOSX, my router is a 'Dlink DIR-655 11n' .. in Win I get 130Mbps, Ubuntu just 54(11G), an MacOSX still nothing.. So I ask you here because I have no idea of MasOSX, and I hope any experienced user, might help me out in finding/buying a new wifi/ethernet card that will work on MacOS for sure...(cause as far as I have read, my4965 still doesn't work) In case I buy an ethernet card, it would be a pccard(like pcmcia) In case I buy a wifi one(most likely), will be minipci (I'd replace the i4965) Would any wifi card get more than 11G in MacOSX?, I mean more that 54Mbps, does it woth buying anything more than 11G cards? (considering my router as well) If I get a new ethernet one, will it get Gigabit speeds? Very Good forum!!
