iamrick
I sucessfully installed my Dell M1330 laptop using iATKOS_5i iso (Leopard 10.5.5 Build 9F33) which I loaded onto a usb thumb drive using this method. It took a couple of goes at customising the installation, but it finally booted. Only problem - extremely long boot times. The gray screen with the circle animation loads, flicks to a blue screen for half a second and then a blank or black screen is shown for a very long time. Eventually it loads... so, a couple of questions: ** How can I identify problem drivers or other issues in the system log (via the console under apps > utilities) ? ** If I install a driver and the system won't boot, how can I restore back the previous setup? Many thanks - despite the frustration its still a lot of fun. Appreciate any comments!
