Acidic
ok guys i need some help here. Ive got a P5W DH Deluxe. Lately it has been running extremely slow. The first boot screen takes about 4 minutes to go away. When i press del and go to the setup menu, it takes forever to navigate around, the menu loads slowly. Even the timer in the darwin bootloader that counts down from 8, takes about 60 seconds to count down. Also I noticed that the windows clock seems to be affected. When ever i restart the clock resets to 1200. Pleaseeee help me with this problem. marliwahoo
Have you upgraded to the latest bios ? Turned off the Jmicon controllers ? There are several things that could affect your problem, but sadly, it really sounds like only some hardware malfunction could do what you are saying. If you have access to some other components you could try switching (one at a time) your memory, video card, HD and cpu to see if it is a problem with them. After that then I would conclude it is a bad MB. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148246-p5w-dh-deluxe-slowww/#findComment-1049778 Share on other sites

marliwahoo
Most of the Gigabite boards like the 35's and 45's will work with the 6600. Check the wiki.
