need help fresh dual boot install p5wdh system restarts automatically

hey everyone,

 

Here's what I'm working with:

 

asus p5wdh

q6600

1tb partitioned drive

4gb ram

8800gt

 

vista x64 install

 

I used the iatkos 10.5 installation disc, and after lots of mbr errors, I got the bootloaders configured. I have vista up and running again, but when I try to go into OSX, it flashes the white logo, then restarts. I'm using darwin and am new to this, but if i type -x and -v i get lots of text, but the computer restarts automatically before I get a chance to read the error messages. Any ideas? should I try a different image?
