Carguy8084
I have just recently done a retail install of Leopard 10.5.2, then upgraded to 10.5.6. I noticed that my airport does not show up in shared anymore and I cannot connect to it using airport utility. This happened to my macbook as well and I had to reinstall to fix it (nothing ever shows up in the shared sections of the left hand column). I did reinstall and tried loading the ALC8111 driver before doing the other updates. My airport picture changes to a generic computer screen picture. then I did the airport utility update and shared goes away again. I'm wondering if it is a compatability issue with my network card (im using the built in on an intel dg31pr MOBO), or installing an old retail version and upgrading (since the same thing happened to my macbook once). Any ideas? Internet works find but cannot network.
