After days of reading and multiple attempts to install osx86, i finally succeeded last night. It only took about 15 installs to get it. Lots of trial and error.

Anyways, if anybody could help, it'd be much appreciated. Here's the problem...

I cannot get my onboard ethernet connection to work. I tried everything in the "customize" section of the install under network...but my ethernet is not recognized. I'm still in the process of learning how to work with kexts, as i have to do this to get my video card (xfx nvidia 9600 GSO), and onboard sound to work correctly. The sound & video problems can wait, as i'll learn how to fix these on my own as i learn how kexts work.

Mobo - P5QC

Intel - Q6600

Video Card - XFX 9600GSO 768MB 192bit DDR2

LAN - PCIe Gigabit LAN controller..."Supported by Marvell LAN controller" in Vista, shows as Atheros AR8121/AR8113

Can anybody tell me how to get the LAN working?

thanks

From what I've read, currently there is no driver for this network device. Hopefully this will change. Hopefully this Atheros card isn't a completely new architecture that Apple has never used, or it might be a while (if ever) before it's working. If you have the mobo with built-in wifi, I hear that works. Or you can add in a cheap PCI network controller.

I have been having the same problem getting this board up and running too. can you post what you did to get it up and running? I have tried several different osx86 installs, but not having any luck. I have built a couple of osx86 laptops with success (using LEO4all), and had planned to buy a Gigabyte board (GA-EP45-UD3P), but they were out, and I got talked into this MB..........It's a nice board, no HW problems putting it togather, I have it running on WIN-7 right now with on issues. but I can't seem to get it going.....for OSX, (the reason I bought the HW....

Any guidance from anyone would be much appreciated.........Below is my setup.

MB: Asus P5QC

CPU: 2.66 Intel C2Q Q9400

Ram: 4 gig Corsair xms2-6400 DDR2-800

Vid card: PNY GF9500GT 512m

SATA HD & DVD drive

CoolMaster Cosmos RC-1000 case (this sucker is huge)

700Watt power supply TopTech
