I recently upgraded from an e6600 to a q9550 on an ECS G31T-M

I use the "default" boot-132 iso method for a retail install and it works beautifully. The only problem is that my new processor (q9550 2.83ghz -1333 FSB with a 8.5 Multiplier) registers as 2.66 unknown. I am not worried about the unknown part, I don't know where the .5 of the multiplier went. CPU-X shows that indeed the multiplier is 8 and not 8.5. I installed the VoodooPower.kext from superhai and it got the multiplier to get to 8.5 on load. It still showed as 2.66 in the system information, and I was getting some random crashes after the voodoo kext was installed, so I removed it.

When I install Kalyway or IAtkos onto a spare drive I get 2.83 GHZ unknown in my system information and in CPU-X shows 8.5. Obviously these installations don't use boot-132 or the retail disc which is what I'd really like to run.

Any ideas as to why one goes full CPU speed and the other one does not? Any help is always appreciated!
