tErbo b00st
I installed OSX (10.4) on my "old" dell E1505 a couple years ago, but than it got stolen. Now I have a Dell 1420 laptop and I am trying to install 10.5. I have downloaded Kalyway and iATKOS 5i. I can not for the life of me get it past the initial boot screen INTO THE INSTALLER. It gets to the screen that says to press f8 or enter...so I hit f8, type "-v cpus=1" and it starts booting. All of a sudden it stops at the line "IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 0:25." It has done this for both Kalyway and iATKOS. I did the md5 on iATKOS and it is correct. I'm burning the file using brasero on ubuntu. Burning on the slowest speed (4x). I have tried two differerent types of DVDs and burned it numerous times. I have done a lot of searching. The only thing I could find was someone suggested waiting hours and it will eventually start moving again. It didn't. Can anyone atleast get me to the installer?! I'm running the 1420 with GMA x3100 and intel centrino duo Thanks in advance!
