installation boot halt at : "unknown SIGFPE code 1, subcode 0"

Hi after threading through google I have been unable to find a solution. Though I have seen other peops' asking the same question. (With no answer.)

 

the last message displayed when booting 'JaS OSx86 10.5.4 Client Server Intel SSE2 SSE3' is:

"unknown SIGFPE code 1, subcode 0"

My computer:

 

HP TC1100

1GHz Intel Pentium M;

512MB DDR SDRAM 266MHz;

Nvidia GeForce4 420 Go 32MB;

Fujitsu MHT2040AT 40GB 4,200rpm

 

This computer should boot it right?

Troubleshooting steps taken:

 

1. remove HD and boot. same error

2. type in boot command options mach_kernel -x -v platform=ACPI
