MacAtak!
Has anyone used Apple's SATA RAID controller on an x86 setup? I have an Intel Bad Axe 2 board and I cant get the thing to post when the controller is in one of the PCIe slots. Any suggestions? Thanks! xhala_debru
Hi, don't know about that controller but mine (Areca 1220 SAS) came with 2 firmwares. One for pc bios and one for EFI. I tried to flash it with the EFI firmware once and the card was not recognized at bios time anymore. Which on my hack resulted in no boot capabilities anymore. But it was still working once Leopard was started from another disk (not on the controller). I had to flash it back with pc firmware through a web intreface of the card so that it would work again at bios time. My 2 cents.
