cooperzetec
hi i am new to this and just managed to get tiger 10.4.6 working well on my packard bell I XTREME 6050 with a 2.7ghz celeron processor and 1gb of ram. everything is working great except the sound and my buffalo wireless usb dongle. i think i have found a guide on how to get my usb dongle working on here so gonna try that later. i really need to find drivers for the sound on my motherboard. its got a built in sound card in the form of an Integrated on the SIGMATEL Technologies Sigmatel STAC9750T -audio codec DirectSound AC'97 2.2 Audio Inputs and Outputs: Stereo inputs for line-in, CD audio, Auxiliary, mono inputs for microphone and TAD, MPU-401 (UART mode) interface for synthesizers and MIDI devices. Integrated game port. Mixer Features: mixer with stereo for line, CD audio, auxiliary, music synthesizer, digital audio (wave files), and mono for microphone and speaker phone. Features: 3D stereo enhancement for simulated surround, Power management support. SPDIF output for PCM and AC3 sound formats. if anyone has any idea where i can find a decent kext file to use i would be very grateful as this is the only thing thats letting it donw at the moment. also if anyone knows of a fix for the annoying thing of having to boot with the cd in the drive then that would be cool too as thats getting on wick lol. cheers again Tony Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147866-tiger-1046-working-well-on-celeron-processor/ Share on other sites

Since then, I've been able to install Mac.Nub's 10.4.10 Installation on my Dell Inspiron 1300 Laptop and MSI mPC 915 Desktop. I had sound working in 10.4.6 natively, so I just had to copy over Kext's over to 10.4.10 Installations.
