gatto2008
Hi, I have a RocketRaid 1520 (PCI BUS) and I try to install the official driver here: http://www.hptmac.com/US/product.php?_inde...ewtype=download but my Hackintosh don't found it. Any ideas? My motherboard is ASUS P5P800-VM on Leopard 10.5.5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147668-rocketraid-1520-dont-found/ Share on other sites
giffut
There is no way to use it under Leopard OSX 10.5ff, as Highpoint only provides drivers for OSX 10.4ff. This is manifest for all series 1xxx RAID cards. HaTaX
That driver does say it supports leopard right on the download page... Hmm, do you have OSX86Tools? If not grab it (Google it, it's easy to find and get ahold of) and then open it up. After it's open click View PCI Device/Vendor ID and then Run lspci. After it's installed and you get some output from running that command copy and paste what you've got in that window in here. It should look like: 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31/P35/P31 Express DRAM Controller [8086:29c0] (rev 02) 00:01.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31/P35/P31 Express PCI Express Root Port [8086:29c1] (rev 02) etc etc etc Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147668-rocketraid-1520-dont-found/#findComment-1047273 Share on other sites

I've tried installing the driver under both OSX 10.4.11 and OSX 10.5.2 and it simply wont recognize the RAID device. When i try to start the web management utility SAFARI doesn't recognize the path (supposed to be https://localhost:7502 ) and, when i try to manually start the program that is supposed to automatically start when the computer boots (i believe it is supposed to launch the web management utility) the software responds with an error stating "No driver present!"....Disk Utilities doesnt recognise it either. I've tried with and without the bios firmware configured, and with all possible bios configurations (including no RAID configuration). Can you offer any insight? My OSX86 TOOLS Reported the following LSPCI settings... 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation E7501 Memory Controller Hub [8086:254c] (rev 01) 00:02.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation E7500/E7501 Hub Interface B PCI-to-PCI Bridge [8086:2543] (rev 01) 00:1d.0 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801CA/CAM USB Controller #1 [8086:2482] (rev 02) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 82801 PCI Bridge [8086:244e] (rev 42) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge [0601]: Intel Corporation 82801CA LPC Interface Controller [8086:2480] (rev 02) 00:1f.1 IDE interface [0101]: Intel Corporation 82801CA Ultra ATA Storage Controller [8086:248b] (rev 02) 00:1f.3 SMBus [0c05]: Intel Corporation 82801CA/CAM SMBus Controller [8086:2483] (rev 02) 01:01.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Intel Corporation 82557/8/9/0/1 Ethernet Pro 100 [8086:1229] (rev 10) 01:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc Rage XL [1002:4752] (rev 27) 01:03.0 USB Controller [0c03]: NEC Corporation USB [1033:0035] (rev 43) 01:03.1 USB Controller [0c03]: NEC Corporation USB [1033:0035] (rev 43) 01:03.2 USB Controller [0c03]: NEC Corporation USB 2.0 [1033:00e0] (rev 04) 01:04.0 RAID bus controller [0104]: HighPoint Technologies, Inc.
