Stuie
HI List, I have a Asus P5K-VM with a single hard drive onto which I would like to install a retail version of OSX and Windows XP Professional. To understand the Mac OSX installation I performed a retail install (updated to 10.5.6) to learn what kexts to replace and the process using EFI V9. Booted fine Then I attached a second drive and installed iAtkos v5 and formated the internal drive as GUID with two partitions. I installed windows XP in the second and configured it to use SATA IHC9 drivers so the BIOS setting is AHCI. I booted off the iAtkos image and did a flat retail install and updated to 10.5.6 and applied the kexts, installed EFI v9 and rebooted. Got the rebuilding cache on shutdown as expected! When I reboot it only comes up into windows. From windows I see the 200 Mb GPT partition + Mac OSX + windows. Do I need to do something special in the Mac OSX install to get the boot loader to select the OS to use? Or is there something I can do in windows to get the boot loader? (Would prefer not to reinstall windows as that was a fight!!) Thanks Stuart Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147655-retail-leopard-install-windows-xp-on-one-drive/ Share on other sites
