TK1129
I will be very grateful to someone who helps me with my problem and expains it in the simplest possible way. I installed iAtkos 5i which is the Leopard 10.5.5. version on my desktop. I got through the installation process and once it said Leopard is successfully installed then it your computer needs to restart. So it restarted and i didn't touch anything i got the grey screen with the apple after which a grey screen comes up every time saying in 4 different languages: "you need to restard your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds or press the restart button." I don't have a restard button so i just held down the power button on my case until it turned off then i turned it on again. It keeps going to the same screen no matter how many times i do this. My hardware is Intel dual core e5200 Gigabyte MB GA G31M S2L Nvidia en8400 gs graphic card I don't know what to do. I followed the instructions carefully. I formatted the hard drive to the correct format i got through the installation without problems just this damn restart thing is driving me crazy. I searched the forums and its mostly about tiger or iDeneb, can someone please help me or point me to where to look? zebualvi
same problem here. My laptop is Hp 530 with 2.16 Core Duo and 1 GB ram (though its maximum bus speed is 333 mHz, i got ripped off there) and Intel GMA950 onboard video card. Anyways i tried with and without various customizations and it always gave same error until i guess the installer got tired of me and my pc restarted itself again and again without showing the msg mentioned above. Im trying it on VMWare but cant get past the initial setup screen which instantly comes after the "Press any key to enter the setup through cd" or watever its there. Mighty thanx in advance. TK1129
I got Leopard running. To do it i had to reinstall iATKOS a few times and under customize before you click install i had to change up the selection. I suppose for the people that are having the same problem they should go and read carefully about what is being installed under the customization menu, for me it was some trial and error i got it on the 4th time. Thanks for all those who didn't help or contribute all it all, it wouldnt kill you to give a simple tip so i don't have to pull my hair out.
