Xtro
I just installed iPC OSX86 10.5.6 with latest ppf 3, and everything went ok. The problem is I can only boot OSX with the -x tag. If I boot with -v tag I have a IntelCPUPowerManagement timeout, then a Firewire error, and some minutes after it keeps giving diskS01 Buffer Underrun errors. My machine specs are as follow: AMD64 4400+ (one of the first Dual Cores) DFI LanParty NF4 SLI Motherboard SATA HardDrive entirely dedicated to OSX (could not set AHCI mode in Bios) nVidia GeForce 6800 graphics card I installed Voodoo Kernel 9.50 as recomended, nvinject 256mb, voodoo ACPI, nForceATA, usual drivers for my motherboard and only the USB 2.0 patch. I think the problem may be the SATA driver, because I read somewhere that only possible installing in IDE drives, but with -x tag it works and even I have access to the Windows Harddrive. I tried different installation options but I'm tired of reinstalling with the same problem. Thanks for your help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147519-1056-problems-at-boot/ Share on other sites
Xtro
Can I just delete this"AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement" so it doesn't load? Do I have to use the DSDT patcher for my system? How? Xtro
The problem seems to be ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin I deleted AppleSMC.kext, repaired permissions and again gave me disks01 data underrun so, what more can I try? pissedoffdude
Alright, problem solved. Apparently the nForceATA kext and forcedeth kexts didn't work so well together. Either use the nForce Lan driver or select no network driver and you should be able to boot up without the buffer underrun error.
