ForestGuardian
I've been running and maintaining a "hackintosh" for almost a year now, and have had fair success and great enjoyment (both from the use of the system, and the challenge of getting things to work). (My notes on a P5K vanilla installation can be found here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=147159). But never mind that for now. I've hit a snag installing Leopard on an AMD laptop -- yeah, not the best combination for OSX. I have only found one working build, Kalyway's 10.5.2, and, well, there are a host of problems with getting it to run on this particular laptop. I've also tried iDeneb 10.5.5, and it doesn't even boot completely. It returns the "still waiting for root device" error. If anyone could direct me to a working solution, that would be great! A vanilla installation and post-patch method would be preferrable. Though, I'd be perfectly content with recommendations for either a set of AMD-compatible kexts/patches or a pre-built custom ISO. Many thanks in advance! Hardware Specifications: This was copied directly from the PDF tech sheet for this model and edited slightly.
