Inpiron 1720 - Stuck on boot after install. iATKOS_5i

My specs:

> Mainboard : Dell 0UK437

> Chipset : Intel GM965

> Processor : Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T8300 @ 2400 MHz

> Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM )

> Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT (Prerelease - WDDM 1.1)

> Hard Disk : ST9160821AS (160 GB)

> DVD-Rom Drive : TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632H ATA Device

 

 

Messed with my bios, and still the same results. CPUS=1 ACPI=off and still no joy.

 

I have tried several times with several customizations and this is always as far as I get:

 

 

I also noticed several link/load errors, and also tried to repair with diskutil in single user mode but I cannot get it to load. Says something about not working

in single user mode.

 

Any help greatly appreciated!
