gadgetsboyj
I followed a guide to dual boot Vista and Leopard. I used the guide on my laptop with 1 HD and it works. I have Leopard on 1 HD and Vista on the other in my desktop. How can I get the Darwin bootloader to display my 2nd HD? I have access to both HDs because I can use my BIOS Settings to disable 1 drive and I can access the other 1. Its just very annoying and inconvienient. breadoflife13
there might be a way to do it but since theyre on separate drives of course leaopard basically doesnt see vista as even on the computer since it's on a separate harddisk. that being said, you can usually press f8 at the hardward post (right after restart) to bring up the boot menu. from there just select the harddrive vista is on to boot to it; since leopard doesnt destroy the bootloader on the other harddrive, windows should fire right up. i have the exact same situation going on between my laptop and desktop. slightly more work to get into the secondary system on your desktop, but easier to manage the dual boot imo. you can set the default boot harddrive in bios in the even it's the wrong one happy hacking Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147225-2-hard-drives/#findComment-1043064 Share on other sites
