Draekz
I've always had no problems with audio on my Intel DQ35J0 motherboard. I had purchased it with compatibility in mind. During my first 6 months of using it, i had no problems with audio. I was forced to reinstall fresh because of an unrelated issue, and now for some reason my audio studders. it usually runs fine if i play a quicktime movie, it studders when it starts, then plays ok, and then studders if any other sounds play at the same time, especially short ones. If Adium plays its sounds, they are short and studders the whole time. i've tried some kext's that i found on forums for users who have laptops that use the ALC268 chipset for audio, but those kexts cause my audio to stop working completely. anyone have any idea what I should try to get my audio to work nice and clear again? using Kalyway 10.5.2 upgraded to 10.5.5 and kabylkernel (its the only one that allows me reboot) I have read many threads on this forum about applehda patching etc, i've tried several files and i've tried using the codec dump to use the 1.20 patch, but those cause my audio to not be detected at all. I have just got one of these boards (very nice they are too) and am running 10.5.2 but have not yet got any audio to work, which driver/s did you use during install, or did you find a link to a kext to add this after install ? tnx ozzy.
