Drknz
Hey Guys, My Mac seems to be running perfect except a few small flaws. As my mac boots up past the apple logo the screen turns black and then you have to wait about 15-20 mins before the desktop shows and the OS loads. Does anyone know why this is? let us know Cheers, Drknz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147029-very-slow-boot-time/ Share on other sites

Drknz
Hey Adam, I think it's actually past that.. like if I boot with -v it comes up with all the text scrolling loads properly and then it goes to a black blank screen which takes forever to load. iCF-74 ToughMac
What about bringing up 'Console' and clicking 'Clear Display', and then rebooting. Then go back into Console, and see what you can see there .. possible hang points etc. Joe PS: Try a -v -f on reboot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/147029-very-slow-boot-time/#findComment-1042186 Share on other sites
