boot menu came up i pressed f8, typed -v to see exactly what it was doing. the installation always stops with this line:

 

Localhost com.apple.launchd [1] (com.apple.SystemStarter): Failled to count the number of files in "/System/library/Startupitems" :No such directory

 

 

 

any suggestions on how to fix this??

 

forgot to add, I installed using KALYWAY_LEO_10.5.1intel_SSE2_SSE3

Please provide us with some specifications about your system (CPU, Motherboard, Graphics & Model Number if aplicable). Adding more specific information allows us to respond quickly with more precise answers. Chipset, LAN, Audio & If your Graphics are integrated or not, are excellent additions.

Try booting with -v -f -x

 

You need to make sure that you burn the disk at a slow speed. Despite being verified you may still run into problems. Most of these distros are packed tight and so the slightest error can cause a problem.
