jmussel Posted January 14, 2009 Share Posted January 14, 2009 i just finished installing kalway 10.5.2 and everything works great except for the fact it is running hot and the cpu fan kicks on for about 10 seconds every minute or so. If so you probably need speedstep so the cpu doesn't run at full speed when it isnt needed. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showforum=163 You can find info and a kernel extension (kext) for speedstep in the forums linked to above. I personally use that kext, but superhai has also made a variation that apparently supports more cpus. If you don't have success with the one above then superhai's kext would be your next option.
