daveinreallife
Hey guys, I'm very new to the OSx86 deal. Always wanted a Mac, however am geek enough to dig into creating one (way more interesting than just buying one!). I've installed iDeneb 10.5.5 on my Dell Inspiron 1525 notebook. Everything seems to have gone according to plan, when I try to boot up after the initial install I get the standard stuff.... 1. Grey screen with cycling circular line deal and trademark Apple logo... 2. After a few minutes I get to a light blue screen... but the screen dumps out, like it went to sleep. I found some info in a forum which I thought may help. It said the computer was supposed to go to sleep and after so many minutes (I think 6 or so) I was to move the touchpad and viola!!! But to my dissapointment it doesn't seem to do anything. I saw a video on YouTube using a similar notebook, their screen goes blue (like mine) but then changed to a login screen (unlike mine). Can someone help me determine the reason and a solution for it. Please note I may have done what most say not to do... install EVERYTHING in the DVD. But I'm not sure. Thanks.
