Insttalling leopard on desktop and or labtop

Hello everyone. I have downloaded, burnt, and installed a copy of Ideneb 10.5.5 on my amd desktop. I have installed 8 times and failed each time. The installation go's well but never boots afterwards. After doing reseach I decided to come here and try this install of leopard. I have not yet downloaded it but will shortly. My desktop is a Hp m7664x with a A8M2N-LA (NodusM3) motherboard and my labtop is a Hp dv9620 us. The ideneb copy would never show my hd's on my labtop at disk utility when I wanted to format them and this is possibly due to it being SATA but I am not sure but my desktop always showed it. I installed to desktop and partition and formated before the install of course. Tried many diff kernals and chipsets but no luck. I am curious as to those two pc's that I listed if anyone here can help me and tell me possibly ahead of time if this distribution of leopard will work. If you do not know what I am talking about I am speaking of iatkos v5i.
