at first i was getting firewire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure error

i went in bios and disabled my firewire, which is fine i do not have any firewire devices.

then now it just hangs and says waiting for root device

my current setup is

EVGA 6801 mobo

BIOS Vendor Phoenix Technologies, LTD

BIOS Version 6.00 PG

Intel® Core™2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

Western Digital WDC WD800JD-00MSA1 80 GBytes ATA SATA-II

i am using the 10.5.5 ideneb iso with the v1.3 patch

what exactly should my bios settings be and also what else should i know or be doing to properly install this

thanks

Try to change your chip set driver when installing, i had the same problem, when i did this, everything become excellent. (or don't install firewire at all, i mean delete kext files )
