techhnyne Posted January 13, 2009 Share Posted January 13, 2009 at first i was getting firewire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure error i went in bios and disabled my firewire, which is fine i do not have any firewire devices. then now it just hangs and says waiting for root device my current setup is EVGA 6801 mobo BIOS Vendor Phoenix Technologies, LTD BIOS Version 6.00 PG Intel® Core™2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Western Digital WDC WD800JD-00MSA1 80 GBytes ATA SATA-II i am using the 10.5.5 ideneb iso with the v1.3 patch what exactly should my bios settings be and also what else should i know or be doing to properly install this thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146639-ideneb-v13-1055-install-problems/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

(or don't install firewire at all, i mean delete kext files ) PS sorry my english...
