deepod
Hi, I am wanting to install leopard on my sony vaio VGN-FZ11L. I'm new to this and I was hoping to install it on vmware running on windows vista home premium. Although after searching about I have not yet been able to find the right graphics drivers (nvidia 8400M GT) that should work. Has anyone tried this with the vaio fz series? Is it possible to do? Is there a guide for the whole thing? Please excuse my newbness! Wheeljack
Hi Deepod! Just playing round with one of these laptops now, and currently have Snow Leopard running on it. I've not yet managed to get sound (Sigmatel HD) or Wireless (Intel 3945ABG) working, nor graphics acceleration. It does seem to work fine for everything else. Had to use Voodoo kexts to get trackpad and keyboard working, VoodooHDA not working for the sound so trying other things. If I remember I will get back to you and let you know how far I get. I work a great deal, so dont always get chance nor time, so forgive me if I dont get straight back to you. Ethernet works with a modified Yukon kext, so at leat I get internet on it as well. Graphics works with no tearing, but obviously a whole raft of apps wont work without acceleration - oh yes and all working in full 64 bit too! Cheers, Jamie Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146528-install-leopard-on-sony-vaio-fz/#findComment-1269919 Share on other sites
