I have a problem, I have installed mac in pearpc and next in vmware and finally native, in native mode when I boot after a wile the system has a freeze (the strange thing is that I'm able to boot once). I've already tried to boot in safe mode and in single user mode but the system freezes every time! Before system freeze a strange line is:

VGAC: familiy specific matching fails

but I don't know if this is related to the freeze.

If someone could help me I really appreciate this.

Thanks in advance. :)

I discovered that the problems depends on ACPI, infact if I run the system with the option "platform=X86PC" and so I'm able to boot, but only at 1024x768 resolution.

I have a ASUS L3800s with Intel Pentium 4 processor and Intel 845MP chipset the video chipset is ATI Radeon 7500 and 82801CAM IDE U100 ide controller. Ideas?

Thaks! :(

Use release 1 of this Generic x86 ISO patcher:

You'll get a patched installation DVD with ATI kexts automatically removed.
