Broadcom 4311, Airport not configured, help n00b here

Right, so,

 

I'm running the JaS 10.4.8 SSE3 Intel on a DELL Inspiron 6400 Notebook, 1.73GHz, Intel Pentium Dual Core processor, 2GB of RAM, 160GB HDD and a Broadcom 4311 PCI-E (i think) built in Wireless card.

 

My installation goes fine etc and when prompted to join a wireless network at Basic setup it shows all the wireless networks in the surrounding area (including mine) and I try to connect to my home network but it won't connect, i continue through the installation and the AirPort icon is greyed out and when clicked says 'Airport Not Configured' or something along those lines. However, one installation (as i've done numerous) i tried to join my network i don't know if it DID, BUT, it did take me to the screen to enter in my apple ID and gave me all my details and then followed with 'Airport Not Configured' still.

 

Ethernet ceases to work also.

 

How do i solve this problem?

 

I've already replaced IOPCIFamily.kext and accessed Info.plist and there is no lines with 'pci.....' in.

 

PLEASE HELP.
