Ianxxx
Hey, i need some cheap comp specially for leo. I was going to use an integrated video on motherboard so please advice some mobos that works for sure If you want cheap and compatible I'd go for a gigabyte board with intel945 chipset and gma950 graphics. There are quite a few variations but most of them are okay Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146457-advice-mobo-leo-with-integrated-video/#findComment-1038672 Share on other sites

Ianxxx
any1? Edit: oops Most of them, as long as it has realtek lan card and either alc662 or alc888 sound I think alc888 is probably better but not as common you can check here http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page look in 10.5.2 motherboards section but your looking for something like GA-945GCMX-S2 Don't know what you had in mind processor wise but if you want cheap celeron e1200 as its a conroe core Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146457-advice-mobo-leo-with-integrated-video/#findComment-1038697 Share on other sites

Ianxxx
tnx man. I was going to get some of intel core 2 duo, celeron is quite old i think e1200 is fairly new its basically e2160 with half the cache. If I were you I'd try and go for one that's a conroe core 1mb cache or 4mb cache, or one of the new 45nm chips if you can afford it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146457-advice-mobo-leo-with-integrated-video/#findComment-1039318 Share on other sites
Saurman
Hey, ive been digging local stores to see what they can offer. I dont have much money right now but this is the configuration ive come to so far: CPU: Pentium Dual Core E2200 RAM: DDR2 SDRAM 2048Mb; PC-6400; 800 MHz; Transcend Mobo: Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2C; LGA775; i945GC; 2xDDR2(667); 1xPCIE(x16); 1xPCIE(x1); 2xPCI; Video; S-ATA II; AC 8ch; LAN 1Gb; mATX HDD: 250 Gb; Seagate Barracuda; ST3250410AS; 16Mb cache; SATA Problems with this build: Mobo is limited to old DDR2 667. No space for future updates. Mobo has only two RAM slots If possible, please advice any mobo under $100 with built-in graphics that works without any troubles and at least DDR2 800mhz support. This rig is for my friend while i myself have P5K-VM mobo, on latest iDeneb i got no sound/lan. The plan is to run xCode and leopard. Ianxxx
ive decided to get p5e-vm. What u think? Should be okay but you won't get onboard graphics to work, and to be honest if your serious about osx I would still advice gigabyte over asus Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146457-advice-mobo-leo-with-integrated-video/#findComment-1048781 Share on other sites
