Hy Guys,

I am trying to install Leopard on this laptop:

Model: Asus A3N (year 2004, yes, it’s pretty old :P )

Processor: Intel Pentium M 715 (1.5Ghz, bus speed 400Mhz, 2MB L2)

Memory: 1024+256 MB DDR, 266Mhz

Hard Drive: 160 GB, 7200rpm

Motherboard/chipset: Intel 855GM& ICH4-M

Graphic Processor: Embedded Intel 855GM VGA

Display: 15”, max resolution 1024x768

First i’ve tried the iATKOS_5i.iso release, but i got several errors.

I boot up the dvd, fine.

I get the license agreement, etc, fine.

I get the disk utility, erase the partition (10GB, extended journal fs), fine.

I select the dirvers (customize …) … i think i miss something at this step

Push the install button, fine.

At the first HDD reboot, i get several errors, and a hang up, which can be resolved only with the computer’s power button. In –v mode, the main problem is shown at the GenericCPUPowermanagement driver.

For the boot, i’m using chameleon. I’ve already tried the EFI way, but it freezed the laptop earlier than the chameleon.

Does anbody have any experiments with this computer/chipset type, or any suggestion to resolve my problem?

I’m a newbie at he osx install, so maybe the solution is quite simple. If you have any idea, please help me :)

Thanks,

Thianna
