djRICKYsi
Hey guys alright I got an interesting problem. I have two Dvd's With OSX86 on them on is the older version 10.4.1 other is 10.4.4. The one that is 10.4.1 I just got installed on my 250gig lacey drive but it will not boot. And when I try to it gives me something about a missing file. Then I got the 10.4.4. I have the file it is called osx86_10.4.4 Install DVD.iso, has 4.37 GB (4,698,669,056 bytes). When I burn it on Nero however or unzip it, the disc becomes smaller only 482mbs. I have tried to burn it a few ways using Demon and the tools but it always ends up really small. When I use the disc it will boot. And I get to the part of the install where u can hit v- v+. When it goes through it gets all the way to the end then it goes to a black screen a bunch of prompts flash to fast for me to read and it ends up in with "Sh-205#" and does not do anything after that. do I have a bad disc img. Also when I install the older version my Serial ATA drives do not show up only my Lacie. Any help would be great. Thanks a lot. ~Ricky~ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14624-dvd-install-disc/ Share on other sites

Mebster
With the 10.4.4 what installation are you using? I think i used myzars and my disk reads as 182kb! No jokes. Made two compies and they both say the same. But not to worry. They both installed and my system now has Xp and OSX running (okish). Anyway i search for "Mac OS X 10.4.4/5 osx86 Patched Bootable DVD" in Pirate Bay and download it. The exact name is "Mac OS X 10.4.4/5 osx86 Patched Bootable DVD". Its a 4.35GB iso file so it's gona take a while. Maybe give that a try.
