greggypouch
Hello everyone, I recently downloaded iAtkos v5i, got lots of coffee and started installing mac os X on my PC. The installation screen pops up, the installation goes well, but the first reboot fails to go through. I get the grey appel with the turnwheel, and then I get a symbol over the apple (a crossed circle). I've tried reinstalling and changing a few options on the customize screen, after reading a few guides, but I still haven't fixed this problem. My computer consists of the following : (according to CPU-Z) Motherboard : Gigabyte GA P35DS3L - Version : F5 CPU : Intel dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz Video card : Nvidia Geforce 8600GT 512Mo The hard drive is connected by Sata cables, and I'm using a USB mouse and keyboard. My screen is connected via the DVI connector of the graphic card. I really have no knowledge about computers (it took me about an hour to type in all the specifications), and although I like searching for info myself, I think I've reached a dead end. If you have any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong with the installation, then I humbly ask your for guidance, or a link to a guide that says "dummy should do this, dummy should do that". I'm currently downloading iDeneb as well to see if the problems comes from the DVD and not my hardware, I'll let you know how all of this goes. One of the guides said that installing mac OS X on a PC was an adventure, he sure was right !
