joshbros
Hi people, I'm new to this so i apologise if I miss anything that I need to mention. Anyway, I recently decided to dualboot my vista based Dell Vostro 1500 with Mac OS X leopard using iATKOS v5i. After installation, my computer came up with the you must restart your computer message. I did this and it started to boot into OS X. It then came up with a you must restart your computer via the power button again, this time in four different languages. This message came up again every time I booted into Mac OS X. I managed to fix this by going into my BIOS Settings and changing my hardrive something or other to ATA from AHCP (i think, correct me if i got the anagram wrong). Anyway, after doing thismy boot freezes on the standard grey circle screen. I checked using the -v command what the error was.The last 4 messages are as follows: Jan 10 12:57:27 Localhost DirectoryService[43]: Launched version 5.5 (v514.23) Jan 10 12:57:27 Localhost /system/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/MacOS/loginwindow[34]: Login Window Application Started Jan 10 12:57:27 Localhost DumpPanic[41]: Error getting a referance to IODeviceTree:/options Jan10 12:57:29 Localhost mDNSResponder mDNSResponder-176.2 (Aug 15 2008 14:58:54)[33]: Starting At this point it just stops in -v mode, and in normal boot it just freezes at what i assume is this point. Thank you very much for reading this and any help would be greatly appreciated. P.s. I apologise if i ahve missed out any require information, this is my first post on InsanelyMac Forum. Cheers.
