stevewm
Got a "new" mobo and cannot get any OSX install disc I have tried to boot. Specs: MSI G31M3-F, Intel G31 Chipset with ICH7 Intel Core2Duo E6750 2.66Ghz 1333FSB 2GB DDR2 667 Nvidia 7800GT 256MB PCIEx Video (worked fine in OSX on my old AMD board) SATA is in IDE mode, BIOS does NOT provide AHCI option. I currently have an iAtkos i5 disc and a old Leo4Allv3 disc. I have to start with cpus=1 to prevent a reboot. Both discs show pretty much the same output under -v and lockup at the same point. Attached is a screen shot. So far I have tried: Unhooking every single device but what was needed to boot. Tried booting from a SATA DVD, IDE DVD, and USB DVD drive. Disabling all legacy ports (Serial, parallel, etc..) Is there anything else I can try? Or is my board just simply not compatible?
