g0biin
Hi Guys Shortly I will be getting a £500 voucher for amazon.co.uk and wanted to get a small ultra portable laptop to use when traveling. I want to duel boot XP and leopard as I need to start using leopard for work. Can anyone suggest a good small laptop to buy that works well with the hacked mac os? Cheers in advanced G Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/145676-best-small-laptop-for-hackentosh-leopard/ Share on other sites
avaya
MSI Wind is a great choice.. there is MSIWindOSX.iso file created just for it. check the forums at msiwind.net for more information. have fun, Avaya Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/145676-best-small-laptop-for-hackentosh-leopard/#findComment-1033317 Share on other sites
mattrb
Sir, the correct spelling is Hackintosh with an i. In 10 years everyone will have hackintosh so you need to get the spelling right. elzafir
Yes, MSI Wind is the best. Right now they have workarounds for previously daunting turn-offs.t BisonCam, Bluetooth, Audio out, WiFi works with a little tinkering. and the community over at msiwind.net is the most active brand specific OSX86 on the internet. I recently installed MSIWindOSx86.iso straight from the HDD, and everthing go perfectly well. Just make sure you get the one with the BisonCam firmware version 0.2 though (version 0.3 doesn't work with PhotoBooth and Skype, currrently there are no workarounds). cheers. mattrb
Wrong, I have MSI wind and EEE 1000h and 1000h is definitely better. The downside of the wind is the it doesn't use syntelic trackpads anymore. The good thing is the MSI is releasing new winds and they will probably upgrade the gimped trackpad. The trackpads now are inferior in that they dont do multitouch. 1000h has multitouch. If you like multitouch or think you may like multi touch, DONT GET THE WIND in this iteration.
