Cannot burn CDs with Phillips CDRW/DVD SCB5265

Anyone got this to work ?

 

This reads CDs and DVDs fine. Just cannot burn any CDs.

 

And the funny thing is - System Profiler says :

Apparently, system profiler and disk image are not on the same page.
