Where's the Bottleneck?

I have a sony vgn-n385e with iatkos 5i installed, sucessfully updated to 10.5.6

here's the specs:

 

t5300 1.73 ghz core2duo (533mhz fsb)

2gb ram

GMA 950 graphics

some alc audio card, will have to use linux to figure out exactly

 

 

I was using the gma950-b driver that came with the iatkos, but i couldn't get 16:10 aspect resolutions on my lcd (native is 1280x800) so i got a gma950.zip and installed it, it works. I believe that this is the previous edition gma950 driver that breaks after updating.

 

My system is lagging, and it's odd. I cannot playback videos that I can play in other operating systems, for example 720p mkvs. I have heard others talk about achi or something like that in BIOS, however that is not an option in my BIOS.
